Our goal is to source a horse or horses that align with your goals, level, and budget, to simply your buying process. We can help you enjoy the process and not be overwhelmed by it.

These terms outline how our horse sourcing service operates and what you can expect from us along the way.

1. The Process

Once we’ve received your completed Horse Sourcing Form (your brief) and the initial fee, we’ll begin searching for horses that match your brief for your personal evaluation.

We’ll consult our trusted Turiya network of professional riders, breeders, and agents across Australia, and, if requested, internationally, to find horses that best match your brief.

Throughout the process, we’ll keep you updated with options, videos, and relevant details, and coordinate next steps such as trials, vet checks, and transport arrangements when required (at your cost).

2. Fees & Payments

Initial Fee
A non-refundable $2,500 initial fee is required to commence the search.
This covers our time, research, communication, and consultation costs.

If you purchase a horse sourced through Turiya Farms, this initial fee of $2,500 will be deducted from the 15% success fee (see below).

Success Fee
A success fee equal to 15% of the final agreed purchase price of the horse (exclusive of GST, transport, or import expenses) is charged to you. For horses purchased under $25,000 (excl. GST) you don’t pay a success fee, just the initial fee.

Payment Terms
The initial fee is payable before the search begins.
The success fee is due and payable within 7 days of our invoice to you or at the same time as you pay for the horse, whichever comes first.

3. Timeframe

We aim to present horse options that match your brief within 4–12 weeks of beginning the search.
However, the timeframe can vary depending on market availability, your criteria, and budget.
The search period may be extended by mutual agreement.

4. Number of Horses Presented

Turiya Farms will make all reasonable efforts to source horses that align with your brief.
The number of horses presented will depend on your brief and market variables at the time of the search.
There is no set minimum number of horses guaranteed in our search results, but Turiya Farms aims to present sufficient options for you to evaluate and contrast to make an informed decision. If our search results are limited, this will be communicated promptly and the search strategy may be adjusted by mutual agreement.

5. Client Responsibilities

To facilitate a successful search, please:
• Ensure your brief is accurate, complete, realistic and up-to-date so that we have the best information about your riding level, goals, and preferences to rely on.
• Communicate promptly regarding horses presented to you.
• Cover any third-party costs related to trials, vet checks, insurance, transport, or quarantine (if applicable).

6. Obvious Risks, Liability & Disclaimer

While Turiya Farms acts in your best interests and will do our best to source horses that match your brief, we do not guarantee the future health, performance, or temperament of any horse in our search results or the horse that you decide to buy These attributes are matters for you to evaluate carefully with your vet and coach (if you have one) It’s also important to document your agreement with the seller and include any warranties around important information that you have relied on from the seller.
Buying a horse is risky due a number of factors: a vet inspection of the horse might not discover clinical or sub-clinical issues that might affect the horse’s future soundness; of the horses that we source that match your brief, you might not be able within the limits of a test ride or rides (but especially if you do not have any test ride) to evaluate correctly the suitability of the horse for your purposes; the owner or its representatives might withhold information about the horse’s medical history, temperament and behaviours which you would wish to know about to make an informed and prudent decision; and the trainability and potential of a horse not yet started or only recently started under saddle is inherently uncertain.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to, at our choice, the cost of our services or the re-supply of our services.

All purchase decisions remain your responsibility .
We strongly recommend independent veterinary and professional assessments before proceeding with any purchase.

7. Termination & Refunds

The $2,500 initial fee is non-refundable once the search has commenced.
If a horse sourced through Turiya Farms is purchased by you, the $2,500 will be credited toward the final 15% success fee.

If no horse is purchased through Turiya Farms, or if you decide not to proceed with any of the horses sourced by us, no further fees will apply and the $2,500 initial fee will not be refunded.

Should you choose to withdraw from the sourcing process for any reason after we commence the process and before a horse is purchased, no additional fees will apply: your only cost will be the initial fee of $2,500.

8. Acceptance

You acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept these Terms & Conditions and they and your brief constitute the entire agreement between us .
